The Polish Voter – the UK’s hidden electorate
More than 400,000 people from the new member states have moved to live and work in the UK since 2004. As EU citizens they are eligible to vote in the local, regional and European elections. Yet with the London Mayor elections on the horizon, what efforts can be made to appeal to these voters?

I agree very much – it’s not a case of one or the other though. This event was about EU citizens in the UK; we could equally run one on UK citizens resident elsewhere.

More than 2.5 million UK citizens live abroad and are entitled to vote in European and General elections. What efforts are being made to get these voters to register and vote. I can tell you – next to nil.
