If this is the future, we should be worried

Sound of Europe Panel

Sound of Europe PanelThe Sound of Europe is over, and I am sat in the relative silence of the press centre as the delegates leave the place. I can’t really write any profound analysis here and now. I am utterly gutted and drained by all of the events this morning. Barroso was however brilliant, but the rest of the politicians were mediocre. Toscani was brutally honest as we had hoped (see previous entry) – that was refreshing. But here I am in the middle of all this, capable of doing so much yet in a position here to do nothing. It’s shattering, gutting and depressing. This conference has for me struck a sour note. More later, when I have reflected on all of this.
